Acclaimed Tamil director Shankar’s elder daughter Aishwarya Shankar got married to singer Tarun Karthikeyan recently. The wedding reception was hosted by the director on Monday.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan were among the prominent celebs who attended the function. Cherry is currently doing 'Game Changer' with Shankar. The film will most likely hit the cinemas in October or November. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal made his presence felt. Bollywood star hero Ranveer Singh was also there. Composer Anirudh and star hero Vijay Sethupathi were also among the invitees.
Besides them, Boney Kapoor and his daughter Janhvi Kapoor were present. 'Vikram' director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vetrimaaran, Shankar's fellow director in Kollywood, were also present. 'Jailer' director Nelson Dilipkumar was also there.
Shankar awaits the release of 'Indian 2' in June this year. Starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, the film is a vigilante drama.
