Aha Video is bringing to its patrons an out-and-out mystery thriller. Titled 'The Great Indian Suicide', this one is based on a real incident that took place in Andhra Pradesh's Madanapalle many years ago. The film will start streaming on October 6.
Led by Ram Karthik and Hebah Patel, the web film is directed by Viplove Koneti. The 'Malli Pelli' duo VK Naresh and Pavithra Lokesh are back. With music by 'Kshanam' and 'Major' fame Sri Charan Pakala, it promises a host of elements such as suspense, romance and thrills.
"A family teeters on the brink of committing an unthinkable act – suicide. Their motive is to resurrect a loved one from the clutches of death," the OTT platform says, talking about the premise.
Described as a cult suicide story, 'The Great Indian Suicide' will see Hebah in the role of a damsel in distress. "Superstition has blinded them. Blind faith has scripted their death," a caption says.
The web film is the rebranded version of 'Telisinavaallu', which was supposed to be released in theatres in 2021. With cinematography by Ajay V Nag, the film is edited by Dharmendra Kakarla. Director Viplove, going by his social media posts, is fascinated by the role of religion, spirituality and society in shaping the psychology of individuals.
