It has been reported by a section of the Bollywood media that Bollywood filmmaker Ayan Mukerji recently filmed a chase scene in Spain for his upcoming actioner 'War 2'. The film, as is known, stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the most important roles.
The Spain schedule was apparently shot using the body doubles of the Bollywood actor as well as the 'Devara' star. While the Hindi audience are not shaming Hrithik, a section of Telugu movie buffs with bias against Tarak are trolling him heavily. They have been arguing on social media that the Nandamuri actor is incapable of doing stunt sequences.
The prejudice is glaring. Body doubles are routinely used to shoot action sequences. Recently, director Maruthi said that all heroes have body doubles. It is a given. Stunts in big-scale action movies can be life-threatening and only trained experts should ideally participate in them.
At the end of the time, what matters is how bona fide the end product looks. The most recent instance is that of 'Leo', in which a scene set in Himachal Pradesh was shot in Kashmir without Thalapathy Vijay being present on set. The same people who are trolling Tarak might have savoured 'Leo' as if Vijay performed those stunts without a body double or the use of VFX.
