'Mansion 24' is a thrilling horror show: Makers at trailer launch event

'Mansion 24', starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Avika Gor of 'Uyyala Jampala' fame, Bindu Madhavi, Nandu, Manas, Ayyappa P Sharma, and Rao Ramesh, is a Disney Plus Hotstar original directed by Ohmkar of 'Raju Gari Gadhi' fame. The horror series' trailer was released today. The show will stream on the platform from October 17.

The trailer launch event today was graced by director Anil Ravipudi, among others. Composer Vikas Badisa said that Western, classical, and rustic music has been deployed to give a new aural experience to the viewer. Art director Ashok Kumar said that the artwork comes with variety and that the ambiance is a character in itself. Cinematographer B Rajasekhar said that the show was shot for 40 days over a period of 48 days. He praised Ohmkar's detailing.

"There is an impression among the audience that a web series is more of a TV program and less of a movie. That is changing. The reach of OTT has gone up in recent years. Disney Plus Hostar, the team of artists and technicians have given their best," the director said, adding that Varalaxmi's dedication was awesome. The 'Krack', 'Naandhi' and 'Veera Simha Reddy' actress came in for appreciation from guest Ravipudi as well.

The shoot was completed within the stipulated time to ensure that there was no budgetary overshooting. The show runs into six episodes and is being-worthy with your family, the makers said. "I have known Ohmkar since the time of 'Pataas'. I wish him a blockbuster entry into OTT," the 'Bhagavanth Kesari' maker said.

Varalaxmi said that she is very happy to have got to act in the web series. "Any horror-thriller story needs good music. Music director Vikas has given apt music. And, thanks to the cinematographer, many frames are beautiful. The director-cinematographer duo are perfectionists," she added.

Manas, Tulsi, Jayaprakash, Rajeev Kanakala, Abhinaya, Baahubali Prabhakar, Vidhyu Raman, Chatrapati Shekhar and others are part of the cast.
