'Agent' producer accepts the movie was a blunder

'Agent' is a massive disaster. Producer Anil Sunkara on Monday afternoon admitted that the project was started without a bound script in hand. The film has allegedly resulted in a monetary loss to the tune of Rs 25 Cr for the producer alone.

Taking to social media, Sunkara said that the entire blame for the failure lies with him and his team (including director Surender Reddy). He hinted that there were doubts about the viability of the project right from the word go. They knew it was an "uphill task" but fancied the dream of "conquering" the box-office.

Covid-related issues made matters worse, Sunkara added. "We don't want to give any excuses but learn from this costly mistake and see how we can turn around to make sure that we will never repeat the mistakes," the producer, known for big-ticket movies like 'Sarileru Neekevvaru', wrote.

He assured everyone that they will make up for the losses with dedicated planning and hard work in the future.
