'Rana Naidu' is the title of an action thriller for which Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati have joined hands. An adaptation of the American show ‘Ray Donovan’, it will soon stream on Netflix. Directed by the Anshuman-Suparn Verma duo, the series is in the news for an interesting reason.
On Monday, its promotions were kicked off in the shape of two video clips. The 'Narappa' actor is seen trying to scare Netflix for naming the title of the series after Rana's character even though it is he who is the series' hero, it is he who is the star, and it is he who looks better. The 'F3' actor issues a mock warning in a 'Don't provoke me' tone.
On his part, the 'Baahubali' actor put out another video clip, asking Naga Naidu to show his guts in the show's trailer.
Rana will be seen as a Mumbai-based celebrity fixer known for his smarts. Venkatesh, who is seen sporting a long white beard, is his father. They are an estranged son-father duo. Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Suchitra Pillai, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi, among others, are playing different roles.
