When Pawan Kalyan was supposed to make a Jesus Christ movie

'Satyagrahi', Trivikram's 'Kobali', and 'Cheppalani Undhi' (materialized as 'Nuvve Kavali' with Tarun) are not the only films of Pawan Kalyan that never materialized. There are a few others, especially a spiritual drama that was to be directed by the iconic filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.

In 2010, a film on Jesus Christ was made official in Jerusalem. In the era of regional and one-language movies, it was supposed to be made in multiple languages - English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and others. During its official launch event, Pawan said that an incident involving the widowed wife of a slain Christina missionary person moved him and inspired him to do the religious film.

At that time, Power Star refused to divulge the film's premise. "If I give away how my character is linked to Jesus Christ, that will be a spoiler," he added.

For whatever reason, the project was shelved and even Pawan's fans didn't feel bad. They were expecting him to do an out-and-out commercial entertainer and 'Gabbar Singh' came as the answer. They wanted a family entertainer and 'Attarintiki Daredi' came as an answer.
