The buzz in the town is that 'Adipurush' is bypassing Sankranthi 2023. In other words, it is skipping the festival release. The 3D mythological film will probably hit the cinemas in May next year.
Prabhas' fans are very much used to postponements. Since 2015, his movies have only got postponed - by one year or even more. Even in perfectly normal pre-Covid times, 'Saaho' got repeatedly postponed. Those occasions were received with sadness by the fans.
But the fanboys out there should feel happy this time around. For one, 'Adipurush' is not carrying positive vibes, although it might pull off a major surprise at the box office if kids love its 3D animation (but that's a big IF). For another, the film's most important market (read the Telugu States) is going to witness an intense clash for Sankranthi. The collections of the movie will not be optimal if the talk is not positive. So, a disaster may have been averted because of the postponement.
