Superstar Krishna's popularity extends far and wide. On Tuesday, Tamil film industry stalwarts Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan joined Tollywood to extend condolences to the bereaved family of the legendary actor.

In his post, Rajinikanth observed that the demise of Krishna is a great loss to the Telugu film industry. "Working with him in 3 films are memories I will always cherish. My heartfelt condolences to his family …may his soul rest in peace," he wrote.

Kamal Haasan described Krishna as an icon. "An icon of Telugu cinema Krishna gaaru is no more, an era ends with his demise. I wish to share the grief of brother Mahesh who has to bear this third emotional trauma of losing a mother, brother and now his father. My deepest condolence dear Mahesh gaaru," the 'Vikram' actor added.

Karthi addressed his tweet to Mahesh Babu and wrote, "Krishna Garu entertained audiences worldwide for so many years & he will stay in our hearts forever. He was a superstar who lived a complete life. Please stay strong brother. It has been a very difficult year. My prayers and thoughts are with you."
