Tollywood is tense as 'SVP' faces uncertainty

In the era of super-high ticket prices in Telangana especially, a movie has to generate super-positive talk. It has to be an awesome big-screen experience. If it is an 'Acharya', box office is sure to plant the kiss of death!

After teaching a lesson to the Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan movie earlier this Summer, large sections of the audience are feared to be gearing up to ignore 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'. The Telugu film industry is closely watching the developments in this regard. The next two days will be meticulously monitored by big players, both producers and distributors.

'SVP', directed by Parasuram Petla, is expected to do better than 'Acharya'. And it should. After all, nobody is saying that the film is a disaster. If 'SVP' amasses decent figures in the first weekend, future biggies can fearlessly go about hiking ticket prices. But if it starts faltering from Day Two, then the era of hiking ticket prices over and above the maximum price will be over.
