National Award-winning actress Archana roped in for 'Chor Bazaar'

'Chor Bazaar', which stars Puri Jagannadh's son Akash Puri as the hero, features Gehna Sippy as the heroine. Jeevan Reddy of 'Dalam' and 'George Reddy' fame is wielding the megaphone. Produced by VS Raju of IV Productions, the film is a romantic and action entertainer.

On Tuesday, the makers of the film revealed that Archana, the yesteryear actress who won a National Award for her performance in the films 'Veedu' and received a National Award nomination for her performance in 'Daasi', is making a comeback in Telugu cinema after 25 years. Also known for Telugu movies like 'Nireekshana', 'Ladies Tailor', 'Bharat Bandh' and 'Chakravyuham', the actress acted in a number of movies in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam as well in the 1980s and 1990s.

"We have enlisted Archana garu for a pivotal role," the makers said today, without divulging anything more.

Jagadeesh Cheekati has cranked the camera, while Suresh Bobbili has composed the music. Editing is by Anwar Ali. Art Direction is by Gandhi Nadikudikar. Costumes are by Prasanna Dantuluri. Fights are by Prudhvi Sekhar. Choreography is by Bhanu. Stills are by Vikas Sigu.
