'The Gray Man' has been streaming on Netflix since July 22. The American action thriller, the streaming giant today said, has debuted as the No. 1 movie in as many as 92 countries.
The news is that directors Russo Brothers and Netflix have decided to turn it into a franchise in collaboration with each other. A sequel and a spin-off film are going to come up. A different element of The Gray Man universe is going to be explored, Netflix said.
The directors have said that the response to 'The Gray Man' has been nothing short of phenomenal. "With so many amazing characters in the movie, we are thrilled that Netflix is announcing a sequel," the director said.
The spin-off is being written by acclaimed screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.
