Sini Shetty, a 21-year-old model from Karnataka, has been named the winner of Miss India 2022. The Femina Miss India World 2022's grand finale was a big success on Sunday. At the same event, Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan and Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh were named the first and second runner-up contestants.
It has to be seen whether Sini will go on the become popular in movies. Miss India 2020, Manasa Varanasi from Telangana, hogged headlines after the finale last year but nobody remembers her name today.
Sini hails from a State which has produced a number of pageant winners, some of whom are very popular, especially Aishwarya Rai. Lara Datta, Sara Jane Dias, Sandhya Chib, Nafisa Joseph, Rekha Hande, Lymaraina D'souza, and Roshmitha Harimurthy hail from Karnataka.
