It was on this day (November 22) in 1975 that 'Swargam Narakam', Mohan Babu's debut movie, headed to the theatres. Helmed by Late Dasari Narayana Rao, who went on to become Mohan Babu's revered mentor and guru, the romantic drama marked the entry of a phenomenal actor. It later took new forms in Hindi as well as Tamil.
As Mohan Babu today completed 47 years as an actor, his fans are remembering the Nandi Award-winning movie.
On their part, the Manchu family is not participating in celebrations because Mohan Babu's younger brother Manchu Ranganatha Naidu died only last week. The celebrations will be held in the near future, after the mourning period is over.
