The trailer for 'Konda' was unveiled at an event held on Wednesday. The film, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, is a biopic of Konda Murali and Konda Surekha.

Speaking on the occasion, Murali said that he survived an assassination attempt on him 30 years ago on January 26. "Despite 47 bullets being pumped into my body, I survived the attempt, not for my family but for my people. Ram Gopal Varma was in Warangal for more than 75 days just to shoot this film. It shows how much he is in love with the subject. I had narrated two lines of my life to him. He researched about my life and spoke with a number of people to write the script. Thrigun, who has played me, has done a nice job. Irra Mor, who has played Surekha, is more beautiful," Murali added.

Konda Surekha said, "The trailer has reminded me of the dark days when we faced the toughest challenges in life. On the day there was an attempt on Murali's life, I was shell-shocked. He was lying in a pool of blood. People around him didn't allow me to go near him. I couldn't find my daughter. Had he died that day, I can't imagine our fate today."

RGV said, "The Konda couple are revolutionaries. I am not courageous enough to become a revolutionary. That's why I am fascinated by the lives of rebels. I yearn to tell their stories. Thrigun has previously done romantic roles. He is a fine actor who needed to be given an intense role. And he has done a superb job here. Irra Mor has played Surekha very well. The Konda family is so unique. The second part is going to have their daughter in a key role."

Thrigun, who was previously known as Adith Arun, said, "I come from an average middle-class family. I am standing in front of you all as the hero of an RGV film. There can't be a bigger thing. This is really a mass film. I have mostly played romantic roles. For a change, I have played a mass role."

'Konda' also features Prudhviraj, Parvathi Arun, Prashanth, LB Sriram, Tulasi, 'Jabardasth' Ram Prasad, Abhilash Chowdhary and others.
