'The Kashmir Files' is the title of an upcoming Bollywood movie made by the National award-winning director Vivek Agnihotri. The film, whose trailer was released today, tells the story of the Kashmir Genocide, which in other words si the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus by terrorists more than 30 years ago.

Produced by Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts and Zee Studios, the film is going to head to theatres on March 11.

Going by the trailer, the film is high on emotions and presents the viewpoint that the Azad Kashmir movement is all about a fascistic agenda. From hard-hitting dialogues to emotional moments, the more than 3-minute-long trailer has got them all.

Starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi (as a civil society activist who is compromised to the core), the film is touted to be a rollercoaster of emotions. Needless to say, the film is a period drama that chronicles the events that led to the eventual dilution of Article 370 by the Narendra Modi government.
