Vijay Deverakonda recently wrapped up the shoot of 'Liger'. The film, directed by Puri Jagannadh, will head to theatres on August 25.
The 'Geetha Govindam' actor is gearing up for a second project with Puri and it's titled 'Jana Gana Mana'. This can be called a highly risky move for the actor. Puri hasn't been in impeccable form. 'iSmart Shankar' and 'Temper' are his only hits in 10 years. Vijay is confident about 'Liger' doing well. If 'Liger' becomes a pan-India hit, 'Jana Gana Mana' will sell like a hot cake.
But if 'Liger' doesn't do well, the other film will prove to be a costly decision for the 'Arjun Reddy' star.
There is another perspective. Vijay is believed to have okayed Puri's new film only because it will be completed in three months. Director Sukumar is busy with 'Pushpa 2' and Vijay seems to have thought that Puri would be a cool choice in the meanwhile. Vijay and Sukumar will be teaming up for a big project in 2023.
