Till Dasara, it is going to be a festival of releases at the box office. Almost all of them are notable ones, powered by star actors, backed by weighty production houses, or simply promising due to content.

On Aug 25, Vijay Deverakonda's biggest litmus test is arriving at the BO. 'Liger', directed by Puri Jagannadh, is hitting the cinemas. With the way things are going these days, it can become a blockbuster in Hindi with even average word of mouth.

On Aug 31, Vikram-starrer 'Cobra' is coming out. Co-starring Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, and Miya George, this one is an action thriller dubbed from Tamil.

September is going to witness two dubbed big-ticket releases. Straight Telugu ones are content or medium/small range films.

Sept 2: 'Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga', starring Vaisshnav Tej and Ketika Sharma, is on schedule.

Sept 9: Sharwanand-starrer 'Oke Oka Jeevitham' is on track. This one is a time-travel sentimental drama to be released in both Telugu and Tamil.

Then there is 'Gurthunda Seethakalam'. Satyadev Kancharana needs this one to work after the flop 'Godse'.

On the same day, Kiran Abbavaram's 'Nenu Meeku Baga Kavalsinavadini' is scheduled to be released.

'Brahmastra', dubbed from Hindi, will also be releasing. Stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. It is presented by Rajamouli in South Indian languages.

Sept 16: It's a big day for Sudheer Babu and Mohanakrishna Indraganti. Their movie 'Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali' will hit the cinemas. Krithi Shetty is its heroine.

Then there is 'Saakini Daakini', co-starring Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas. It is directed by Sudheer Varma.

Sept 23: Sree Vishnu's cop actioner 'Alluri' and Sri Simha Koduri's 'Dongalunnaru Jaagratha' are coming out.

Sept 30: Mani Ratnam, a bunch of stars, Lyca Productions and distributors like Dil Raju await the release of 'Ponniyin Selvan-I' on this day. Besides 'Brahmastra', this is the only other biggie in the month.

October releases:

Dasara is going to witness two big-ticket releases. One is a remake and the other one is an original one. Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather' (remake of 'Lucifer') and Akkineni Nagarjuna's 'The Ghost' have been confirmed for Dasara.

Joining them is 'Swathi Muthyam', starring debutant Ganesh Bellamkonda.
