Pawan Kalyan is just not waking up!

There is a danger that Pawan Kalyan's upcoming movie generates less interest than Prabhas' 2025 release, Jr NTR's 2024 or Allu Arjun's 2026 release. Power Star is perilously close to ensuring that any amount of curiosity around his upcoming movies fizzles out at the earliest.

Already, he has done two back-to-back remakes: 'Vakeel Saab' and 'Bheemla Nayak'. This, at a time when 'RRR' and 'KGF 2' have literally changed the discourse around southern cinema. And the actor-politician is going to act in the remake of a Tamil movie directed by Samuthirakani. This has been to the dissatisfaction of his fans. Trivikram writing this movie doesn't mean much in terms of generating interest among the masses.

And now, efforts around remaking 'Theri' (Tamil) have only intensified. The 2016 Tamil movie starred Thalapathy Vijay in the lead. It had a formulaic story with passable emotions. Remaking it in 2023 (probably when the remake will hit the cinemas) sounds laughable. One has to see how the makers are going to justify it even. Sujeeth of 'Saaho' fame is reportedly going to direct the remake.

Even national media houses are interested in what the likes of Ram Charan and Jr NTR are going to do next. At a time like this, the Jana Sena chief is building a strong Remake Sena! Such a great star but he is not waking up.
