RGV files defamation suit against Natti Kumar, children

Ram Gopal Varma has filed a defamation suit against producer Natti Kumar for allegedly making false allegations against him earlier this month. Kumar appeared on TV channels/YouTube videos and claimed that RGV owes him crores of rupees. He got a stay on the release of 'Dangerous'/'Maa Isham' and stalled its release. The film was postponed from a theatrical release in the last minute on April 7.

RGV today said that the Natti family, including Natti Kranthi and Natti Karuna (Kumar's children), resorted to foul means to not only defame him but also cause financial loss to him and producer Tummalapalli Ramasatyanarayana by preventing the release of 'Dangerous' in theatres. A higher court, RGV said, has suspended the stay ordered by a lower court.

RGV claimed that he has also filed for damages because of the monetary loss suffered. Varma said that his movie will be released in theatres on May 6 in three languages. He also said that censor formalities have been completed in this regard.

RGV has accused Kranthi and Karuna of resorting to forgery to defame him.
