Vedire Ramachandra Reddy was the first one to donate a large tract of land to the Bhoodan Movement in the 1950s. The movement was led by freedom fighter and Gandhian Vinobha Bhave. A biopic will now be made on Reddy, who belonged to Pochampalli. Ramachandra Reddy's grandson Aravind Reddy is presenting the biopic, while Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy is its producer. The scripting work is on. Marking Vinobha Bhave's 127th Jayanti, the film's unit spoke to the media.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahadev Vidrohi said that Bhave was the main disciple of Gandhi. "Ramachandra Reddy was the first donor to the Bhoodan Movement, donating 100 acres of land. The story of such a great man has to be told," he added.

Producer Chandrasekhar Reddy said, "The land ownership was transferred to the poor without any bloodshed. The story of such a great man has to be told to the new generation."

Producer Neelakantha said, "It's a fine moment in my career that I am directing this biopic. This is not a commercial movie. At the same time, it's not a documentary. I have a huge responsibility to make the film the right way."

Presenter Aravind Reddy said, "The movement was devoid of struggles and battles. It was a peaceful movement, a one-of-its-kind one in the world."
