Vijay Kanakamedala, the director of 'Naandhi', this February secured a box-office hit with the Allari Naresh-starrer. The director has since been in the news on several occasions.
It's learned that he gifted gold lockets worth Rs 3 lakh to the team of his movie after it became a critical and commercial hit. And, to his friend who has been supportive, Vijay gifted a scooty worth Rs 90,000.
The young filmmaker has also given Rs 1 lakh each to the families of a few directors who have died due to Covid-19.
