'Toofan', the Hindi-language film, has locked a new OTT release date. Amazon Prime Video today stated that it will stream from July 16.
Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the sports drama features Farhan Akhtar as Aziz Ali aka Ajju Bhai. Based on kick-boxing, its shoot was completed in last March.
Amazon Prime wanted to release the movie earlier this year. It changed the date and postponed it. Paresh Rawal plays a boxing coach in the movie. Also featuring Mrunal Thakur, it has Vijay Raaz, Mohan Agashe, Hussain Dalal and Darshan Kumar in other roles. With music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, it is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
This is going to be the second major direct OTT release in Hindi in July. On July 2, Taapsee Pannu's 'Haseen Dilruba' will release on Netflix.
