Madala Ravi, the actor-producer, turned a year older today. It was in 1981 that he debuted as a child artist in 'Erra Mallelu' (remember the song 'Nampally Station Kaada'?). In 2004, Ravi debuted as a producer with 'Nenu Saitham'. Since then, he has acted in 'Broker 2', 'Panchamukhi', and 'Aloukika' in Telugu, besides doing two films in Hindi and one film in Bhojpuri.
As the son of Madala Rangarao (who was known for revolutionary movies such as 'Erra Mallelu' and 'Swarajyam' in the 1980s), Ravi developed a socialist outlook right from a young age. He grew up to be a People's Artist, voicing the concerns of the underprivileged in his movies.
As a practicing gastroenterologist and managing director of a pharmaceutical company for 14 years, Ravi has come to be known as the People's Doctor as well. During the pandemic, Ravi has reached out to 15,000 Covid patients since March 2020. A source says that the actor-cum-doctor is planning to help more people as a frontline warrior.
Ragalahari wishes Madala Ravi a happy birthday!
