This birthday will always be a memorable day for me: VK Naresh

VK Naresh, who debuted in Telugu with 'Prema Sankellu', went on to act as a male lead in more than 100 films. As a character artist, he has done more than 150 movies. Marking his birthday (January 20), the senior actor hosted a party at Taj Deccan. The occasion was graced by Ali, Rajeev Kanakala, Indraganti Mohankrishna, Dharma Rao, Pavitra Lokesh and several others. Naresh has been appointed the new President of the New Monk Kung-Fu Telangana Association

Speaking on the occasion, Kodi Srinivasulu said that Naresh is looked upon as a guide by many in the film industry. "He is not only a strong person physically but also quite self-disciplined," he said, adding that Naresh has bee helping out Kung-fu aspirants.

Naresh said, "I learned Kung-fu way back in 1979. Thanks to the blessings of my mother, Vijaya Nirmala garu, and gurus like Jandhyala garu, I went on to play lead roles in 100 movies. I took a break for some years and began my second innings. I have been inspired by SV Ranga Rao garu in this journey as a character artist. I have done 11 movies during the coronavirus crisis. I have worked with some of the big directors since my debut film. As a character, I am getting to work with new-age filmmakers."

Naresh also touched upon some of the initiatives he has taken during his stint at the Movie Artists Association.

Telangana's Minister G Srinivas Goud said, "Naresh has taken up several welfare activities over the years. I congratulate him on his role as the President of the New Monk Kung-Fu Telangana Association. The TRS government will always be supportive of the film industry."
