It's known that Adivi Sesh's 'Major' is going to be released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. The news is that the film, based on real incidents, has got six huge sets mounted by renowned art director Avinash Kolla.

Director Sashi Kiran Tikka had visualized the sets and the production designer came up with the output as per his vision. Kolla has previously worked on 'Mahanati', the Savitri biopic.

Besides erecting an NSG commando set at a studio in Hyderabad, Kolla also came up with a set of the Gateway of India for the film. The set of the Taj Hotel is going to be the biggest highlight of the movie. The film is based on the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai.

The makers had to go in for the sets because necessary permissions couldn't be sought. Kolla researched meticulously before doing the work for the film. He said, "For each of the sets, I and my team did extensive research. The Taj Palace set took a lot of time. Since the place is integral to the story, we had to give attention to detail. The Taj is not a set property but a character in the movie. From the Grand Stair Case to the TATA iconic image and the paintings of MF Hussain, we have created them all. Using fiber, wood and iron, we erected a 120ft tall hotel set of five floors."
