Tollywood stars have stepped up to help governments fight the corona virus pandemic. Here is the list of Telugu film industry actors who have donated for Covid-19 relief.
While Prabhas has magnanimously donated Rs.4 crores (Rs.3 crores for PM relief fund and Rs.50 lakhs each for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments), Pawan Kalyan donated Rs.2 crores (Rs.1 crore for PM relief fund and Rs.50 lakhs each for AP & TS). Megastar Chiranjeevi donated Rs.1 crore, Jr NTR's contribution is Rs.75 lakhs (Rs.25 lakhs each for AP, TS and cine workers), Ram Charan has donated Rs.70 lakhs for the state governments and Rs.30 lakhs for cine workers. Allu Arjun has announced Rs.1.25 crores (AP, TS & Kerala), Mahesh Babu's contribution is Rs.1 crore for state governments and Rs.25 lakhs for film industry workers.
Nithiin has donated Rs.10 lakhs each to AP & Telangana governments. Sai Dharam Tej, Anil Ravipudi, Trivikram Srinivas, Koratala Siva and Sukumar donated Rs.10 lakhs each. Dil Raju's SVC banner and S.Radha Krishna (Chinna Babu) of Haarika & Haasine Creations donated Rs.20 lakhs each. VV Vinayak donated Rs.5 lakhs to the cine workers. Allari Naresh has donated an undisclosed amount for cine workers. Actors like Rajasekhar and Shivaji Raja donated groceries and essential commodities to poor technicians and cine workers. Music director SS Thaman has donated Rs.5 lakhs to poor musicians.
