Moral issue in Allu Arjun vs. Jana Sena row

A Jana Sena MLA has talked derisively about Allu Arjun. In a video that has gone viral, he suggested that the 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' actor is shorn of his own identity separate from that of the Mega family. "It is his delusion that he has fans," the MLA said about the 'DJ' actor.

One doesn't have to be a Bunny fan to see the truth for what it is. Bunny is popular for his dance moves in States like Kerala. Some of his dance moves in films like 'AVPL' and 'Pushpa' became extremely popular in northern India as well. The 'Thaggede Le' mannerism was huge when 'Pushpa' was released in 2021.

Let's forget which hero commands or doesn't command fan following. There are moral issues concerning the Bunny vs. Jana Sena row: We are becoming intolerant of others having preferences that are different from ours.

Bunny felt that he must campaign for the YSRCP MLA. It's his prerogative. Bunny felt that he must defend it. Again, it's his prerogative. Jana Sainiks say, "Bunny campaigned for the YSRCP MLA even though the latter didn't request him to. But he didn't extend the same courtesy for Pawan Kalyan." The issue can be reframed in another way: "Pawan Kalyan didn't seek Bunny's support even though the latter is a relative who is a big star in the Telugu States." Pawan didn't make a request and it is his prerogative.

It's concerning that a 30-minute appearance of a cinema hero by the side of an MLA candidate has become a hot topic for lakhs of social media users in the Telugu States. Are these people really that jobless? If yes, it is an even bigger concern. Some of them must be students who have no interest in studies and deem it fit to worry about issues that don't matter to Bunny and Pawan Kalyan at a fundamental level.

A bigger issue is that the social and political climate has been corrupted beyond imagination in the era of social media. And politicians are fueling this lowly culture by making self-serving utterances.
