'Damayanthi', the 2019 Kannada-language mythological comedy horror, will be released in Telugu as 'Kaalika'. Directed by Navarasan, it will release in theatres on January 1. Set in the 1980s, it has GK Reddy, Saurav Lokesh, Anusha Ravi, Raj Bahadhur, Sadhu Kokila and others in key roles.
Speaking about the film, producers Natti Karuna and Natti Kranthi said, "We are happy to release the blockbuster 'Damayanthi' as 'Kaalika' in Telugu. We are sure that the auidence will be able to connect with the film. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 18 Cr. The graphics are superb and the screenplay is gripping."
The makers are confident that 'Kaalika', which has got mythological and comedy tropes, will be a box-office hit. Music is by RS Ganesh and Narayana.
