A biopic on former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy titled ‘Yatra’ to be directed by Mahi Raghav is all set to go on floors in June. Now the latest news is that Malayalam Superstar Mammootty will play the titular role in this exciting project . After delivering super hit films like ‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ and ‘Anando Brahma’, producers Vijay Chilla and Shashidevi Reddy are producing this film as their third project under 70 MM Entertainments banner. Producers themselves announced the news that Mammootty is all set to play one of the most influenced politicians in India YSR.
Informing the news, producers Vijay Chilla and Shashidevi Reddy said, “We are very happy to team up with Mahi Raghav for the second time who brought success with our banner’s second venture Anando Brahma’. We were very much impressed by the line narrated by the director Mahi Raghav. Mammootty has accepted to play YSR role and it has given us immense happiness. We are planning to make the film lavishly on high budget. The film will be made based on some events in YSR’s life leading to famous walkathon ‘Pada Yatra’. We will soon announce the complete details of ‘Yatra’ officially.”
