Yesteryears top actress Krishna Kumari passed away today morning at her residence in Bangalore. The actress was 85 years old. She suffered from health issues and had been diagnosed with cancer. She had been undergoing chemotherapy for the last two years. She is survived by her daughter.
She was one of the actors in 1960’s and 1970’s. She had acted with all top heroes such as ANR, NTR, Chevalier Sivaji Ganesh, Gemini Ganesan and Raj Kumar of her time. She was born in 1933 and started her film career with the film ‘Navvithe Navaratnalu’ in 1951. ‘Peeli Kanuka’, ‘Aggi Pidugu’, ‘Bandipotu’, ‘Bharya Bharthalu’, ‘Vagdanam’, ‘Kulagotralu’, ‘Gudigantalu’ are some of her famous films. She had acted in over 170 films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages.
The death of Krishna Kumari has shocked and saddened Telugu film industry. Many have expressed their grief and offered condolences to her family.
