After the release of the trailer of ‘Julie 2’, Raai Laxmi had set the temperatures soaring. The bold and erotic thriller saw Raai Laxmi in the lead role. However, the film has performed miserably at the box office.
In an interview, the actress opened up about the film’s dull run at the box office. Raai Laxmi said, “I think audience expected it to be a sex film and there was no sex in it. The film was largely publicised in that way.” The actress also opined that critics were a bit harsh in their reviews of ‘Julie 2’. She also said that the delay in making and release of the film is also one of the reasons that it failed at box office. Meanwhile, Raai Laxmi took it as a good learning experience and gearing up to sign her next Bollywood project.
‘Julie 2’, the sequel of 2004 ‘Julie’, which also stars Ravi Kishan, Rati Agnihotri, Aditya Srinivas and Pankaj Tripathi has hit the screens on November 24.
