Prominent director S Srinivasa Reddy, who carved a special image for himself as comedy films director, has completed 33 years in Telugu filmdom. Commemorating the occasion of Srinivasa Reddy completing 33 years career, celebrations were organised at Sri Krishna Movie Makers Office in Hyderabad.
The director started his career as an assistant director at prominent Kannada director Vijaya Reddy in 1984. After that he worked for a hit film ‘Ankusam’. Earlier, he worked for several hit films at famous directors like Y Nageswara Rao and Siva Nageswara Rao. He is known for making family entertainers which can be watched by the whole family together. He is takes care to have comedy touch in his films right from the title itself. He scored super hit with ‘Adirindayya Chandram’ and later went on to win Telugu audience hearts with comedy entertainers like ‘Tata birla Madhyalo Laila’, ‘Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters’ and ‘Kuberulu’. He proved himself that he can handle socio fantasy subjects alike with ‘Yamagola Malli Modalaindi’. It was a sensational film in those days which was blended with special effects in limited budget. After that, Nagarjuna starrer fantasy film ‘Dhamarukam’ stood as top grosser in Nagarjuna’s career. It is the first film in Telugu which has visual effects more than an hour.
