Mostly shot in America, this romantic entertainer also casted seniors like Thanikella Bharani, Tulasi and Gemini Suresh. Produced under Third eye creations, the movie is getting ready for release in September second half. On this occasion, the heroine of this movie who came all the way from America to participate in promotions of PEMPAK, speaks about herself and her debut film.

Hi! I am Radhika Mehrotra, the lead female actor in PEMPAK, born and brought up in Jaipur, Rajasthan. I have a bachelors in economics from Ramjas College, University of Delhi. It was during my college days that I actively took part in theatre and performed various plays as part of the drama troupe.

I have performed at the prestigious Prithvi theatre in Mumbai as part of Thespo, a theatre festival. I moved to New York three years ago to study acting at the acclaimed Lee Strasberg theatre and film institute. Last week I was in New York to perform a play ‘The Music In My Blood’ at the 12th south Asian theatre festival for which I had won the best female lead award last year.

My co actor in the film Chandrakanth saw me perform at the institute last year and recommended my name to Goverdhan sir, the director of PEMPAK.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with such talented people on the team. Everyone put their best foot forward and that just made the process so easy and fun.

My character’s name is Mythili who is a very hardworking and dedicated girl with big dreams for herself and she stays optimistic in the face of all problems.

I felt extremely comfortable working with CK because we both come from the same school so we understand each other's working styles very well.

Goverdhan sir made sure that the working environment was very open to suggestions and new ideas which created a very creative and positive ambience.
During the process I also started watching some Telugu films. I really enjoyed ‘Prem Katha Chitram’ and ‘Bomarilu’. I absolutely love Nagaarjuna sir. I remember watching ‘Criminal’ and ‘Zakhm’ and he's been my absolute favorite since then.

In the contemporary actors I really like Prabhas's work. I wish and hope to work with some of the very talented directors, actors and writers the industry has to offer. We have created a really heartfelt, fun and entertaining film and I really hope that everyone will love it.
