Renowned music director RP Patnaik has made a film titled ‘Tulasidalam’ under his own direction. The film was made under Colours Entertainment banner with Kishore Kantamaneni as presenter. Nischal and Vandana Gupta are hero and heroine respectively, while RP Patnayak, Dr Brahmanandam, Radha Rayasam, Anitha Chowdary, Duvvasi Mohan, Deepak Ravella and Sunil Baddepalli played important roles. Apart from directing and producing the film, RP Patnaik has provided story, screenplay and music. The film is arriving theaters on March 11. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged press meet on Monday (March 7) in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the press meet, RP Patnaik said, “We are planning to release ‘Tulasidalam’ on March 11. The film was made as a constructive horror entertainer. Everything will be new in the film. So far we all have seen horror films which were shot in dark, but this is completely shot in the world’s brightest place i.e. at Las Vegas in America. The film will not have disgusting horror. It is completely loaded with emotions and everyone will enjoy the film for sure. There is not link between this film and 36 years before ‘Tulasidalam’. Each and every role has equal importance. Hero is a software engineer and appears as a lover boy. Vandana Gupta played tourist guide in Las Vegas. Duvvasi character will be there throughout the film. Brahmanandam played exorcist. My role will be very new which you have not seen so far on Telugu screens. The film is a musical love story with horror touch. Every love story will have a problem. The problem in this love story is horror. There will be many twists and turns in this love story which audience will not expect. Achibabu was very impressed by the film and bought.”
On this occasion, Nischal said, “The film was shot in Las Vegas for 45 days. ‘Tulasidalam’ came out wonderfully.”
Deepak Ravella said, “I was very much connected to the script narrated by RP Patnaik when he visited US. It’s a horror film. Night life will be very bright in Las Vegas. I was in doubt that how a horror film can be filmed at that place, but later I convinced myself that RP has separate plans. I hope I get many more opportunities after this film.”
Duvvasi Mohan said, “The film has RP’s trade mark. The film is blended with all elements like love, family, music, horror and entertainment. I played the persons who solves everyone’s problems. My role in the film has different style and thinking.”
Dr. Brahmanandam, Anitha Chowdary and Duvvasi Mohan and some others played major roles.
