‘Rudramadevi’ that has Anushka Shetty in the lead, has released worldwide on October 9, and is receiving good collections. Dasari Narayana Rao garu, who watched the film on Sunday evening, has appreciated the film unit. On this occasion, a press meet was held.
Speaking on the occasion, Dasari Narayana Rao garu said, “I have watched the film on Sunday evening. It’s really an adventurous attempt to make a historical film when commercial films are trending. Yesteryear ‘Alluri Sitaramaraju’ is our history. Since 1987 no such film came till 2015. Now another historical film ‘Rudramadevi’ has come after 28 years. The idea of making such a film itself is a great thing. It is an appreciable thing that Gunasekhar himself has made the film when no investors came forward to produce the film. One have to take due care for characterization to maintain the quality. Gunasekhar has crafted ‘Rudramadevi’ as a visual wonder. It’s everyone’s responsibility to encourage such films. It is the story of Ferocious warrior Rudramadevi’s life. With the inspiration of queen Rudramadevi, a women ruled Italy. Several queens have taken her as inspiration. Gunasekhar has his own style in his every film like ‘Sogasu Chooda Tarama’, ‘Bala Ramayanam’ and ‘Lathi’. He is a perfect director. Anushka, who impressed audience with ‘Arundhati’, has perfectly dwelled into ‘Rudramadevi’ role. I confidently say that she will join the league of great artists like Savitri, Jaya Sudha and Jamuna. Without Anushka there is no ‘Rudramadevi’ film. It’s a once in lifetime film for her. I appreciate her. Coming to Gona Ganna Reddy role played by Bunny, he has given wonderful performance. Each and every scene of him is extraordinary. Especially, his introduction scene is excellent. It’s an appreciable thing that Bunny himself came forward to play this role. Thanks to everyone who is encouraging ‘Rudramadevi’. Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj and Rana and everyone in the team have given wonderful performance. It’s everyone’s responsibility to encourage such films. It needs at least two weeks gap. So that it will create records. I can’t understand why big films are releasing with just a week gap. The film is receiving good collections. It has grossed Rs 9 Crores 40 Lakhs on first day, Rs 6 Crores 2 lakhs on second day and more than 6 Crores on the third day. I congratulate the team for making such a good film.”
