For the first time Samantha will be seen doing an item song in Sunil’s ‘Bheemavaram Bullodu’. Though it is unclear why the actress is opting to do an item number at the time when she is in peak of her career, it is to be believed that she is following the trend set by her contemporaries like Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. Even down south, we have recently seen Nayantara shaking legs with Dhanush in a hot item song in Tamil film ‘Ethir Neechal’ starring Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Anand and Nandita in lead roles. Similarly it’s known to all how big hit was Priyamani’s item song ‘One Two Three Four…..’ with Shahrukh Khan in the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Chennai Express’. Even otherwise if we go back to exactly two decades ago, Late actresss Soundarya did a special song ‘Chinuku Chinuku Andelatho…’ in Ali’s ‘Mayalodu’, which has become a very big hit. Remember Soundarya did that special song when she was also at the peak period in her career.
'Bheemavaram Bullodu' has Esther (1000 Abaddalu fame) as leading lady opposite Sunil and is directed by Uday Shankar. D Suresh Babu is producing it on Suresh Productions banner with musical scores by Anoop Rubens. The special song on Samantha will be shot very soon.
Samantha is currently busy four movies in Telugu and one in Tamil. While her ‘Autonagar Surya’ is getting ready for release shortly, her other three films in Telugu ‘Manam’, ‘Rabhasa’ and an untitled film opposite Bellamkonda Srinivas are under production. Similarly her Tamil movie in the combination of Suriya and Linguswamy is also taking a brisk shape. The actress is presently in Japan shooting a song for her film opposite Bellamkonda Srinivas under VV Vinayak’s direction.
