Tabu's Hollywood 3D Film Life Of Pi on Nov 23rd

20th Century Fox is coming up with a 3D adventures film titled ‘Life of Pi’ based on 2001 sensational novel ‘Yann Martel’. Directed by Oscar award winner Ang Lee, the film features Tabu and Irfaan Khan in prominent roles along with Suraj Sharma in lead role as Pi. With Indian nativity, the film was entirely shot in Kerala and Pondicherry. Fox Star Movies is releasing this film on November 23rd in 3D and 2D in Telugu, Hindi and English languages in Andhra Pradesh.

The story of ‘Life of Pi’ goes like this. A family which maintains the zoo in Pondicherry travels to Canada through sea carrying few wild animals from their zoo. However their ship meets a storm and gets washed away. A 16 year old Pi is the only boy who survives and finds himself on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger, orangutan, hyena and an injured zebra. As Pi strives to survive among the animals, the hungry hyena begins to kill the wounded zebra first and later orangutan. At the juncture Bengal tiger kills and eats the hyena and Pi is the only survivor left on the boat along with tiger. How Pi safeguards him from tiger attacking him forms the rest of the story. Similar to the film ‘Titanic’ the director of this film also crafted this film with a mix of fanily sentiment, bonding and love. According to distributors, the trailers are already grabbing the attention of children and elders.
