Venkatesh-Trisha starrer ‘Bodyguard’, directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner was released on 14th January across the globe as Sankranti gift. Marking the tremendous response from all its centres the unit organised a success meet in which Bellamkonda Suresh, Venkatesh, Gopichand Malineni, Kona Venkat and Aali participated.
Venkatesh said, “I’m very happy on the success of ‘Bodyguard’. The response is good from all areas. Even Salman Khan waited with anxiety for the release of this film. Gopichand directed this movie excellently by including all required commercial elements. I liked all emotion scenes. Prakash Raj did a wonderful character. The reason for the film’s success is the mix of action part with family drama which we are seeing after a very long time. My next film is also on Sri Sai Ganesh Productions for which the script is in the progress. Regarding my present project ‘Seetamma Vakitlo….’ I’ll be shooting for it from 18th in Vizag.”
Bellamkonda Suresh said, “I’m very happy to see the success of ‘Bodyguard’ which was released grandly on the auspicious day of Bhogi. I’m very happy to have worked with Venkatesh with such a good script. The results were as per our expectations. ‘Bodyguard’ is the biggest hit when compared with Venkatesh’s earlier films. This movie has given life to Gopichand for the hard work he has done. Shyam K Naidu’s cinematography is super, and not to speak of Kona Venkat’s dialogues. We have planned to celebrate the platinum disc function on 18th at V Max theater in Vizag for which VV Vinayak is the chief guest. I’m very proud to say that this film is the biggest hit in Telugu when compared with other languages. Kona Venkat’s dialogues rocked. The movie is receiving good response from all over the state. Gopi (director Gopichand Malineni) earned a special place in R.A.C with this film.”
Kona Venkat said, “Very happy to note the success of this film across the world. One should be experienced enough to shoot such emotional scenes like in this film. However Gopichand managed to get the best output with the kind of little experience that he had. ‘Bodyguard’ is the biggest hit in Telugu when compared to other languages. I’m very happy about that.”
