Prakash Raj’s first directorial venture in Telugu ‘Dhoni’ which he is also producing it under his Duet Movies banner is getting ready for release on February 10th. A press meet was organised to brief the film’s details. Prakash Raj and Dil Raju spoke to the media personnal on Wednesday.
Prakash Raj said, “This is my first directorial film. As an actor and producer I did many films. The story of ‘Dhoni’ touched my heart. Hence I prepared the script inspired by this Marati story. This film is not against the education system. It’s the story related to a middle class person. It’s a story of a man who wanted his children to study well for their good future. This is a must watch film for children as well as the parents. Musical scores rendered by maestro Ilayaraja will attract not only the music lovers but also the literates. We are blessed to have his music in our music. Ilayaraja gave 80% life to the film through his music only. While I was narrating the story to Puri Jagannath, his son Aakash said that it appeared to him as if the story is meant for me. But later he was surprised when I told him that he is the protoganist of this film. He gave wonderful performance at a tender age. After watching the trailers we are confident about the film. We are receiving very good response for the trailers. We are happy to note that Dil Raju is releasing this film. The audio will be launched on 3rd February and the film on 10th.”
Dil Raju said, “Prakash Raj is a good friend of mine, hence I follow his advice sincerely in every project that I take up. ‘Dhoni’ is a good attempt by Prakash Raj which a good story along with a good message in it. I’m sure this movie will be a good commercial success as well as connect well with the family audience. We are very happy to release this film on our banner. N’Dhoni’ will be released on 10th in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.”
