Most of you must be aware that Lakshmi Manchu is part of Maniratnam’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Kadal’. This multi-talented young lady who believes that hard work pays fruitful results, is currently in Tiruchendur (in Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu) to participate in her final shoot with Maniratnam. Lakshmi says, “Last leg of shoot w Manirathnam. I am living my dream. Never stop dreaming.”
Lakshmi Manchu is sharing screen space with Aravind Swamy and they both are playing key roles in the film. Maniratnam is introducing Gautham Karthik (Hero Karthik’s son) and Thulasi Nair (Heroine Radha’s second daughter) as hero and heroine through this film. Other cast includes Arjun, Ponvannan and Pasupathy and Thambi Ramaiah. Major part of the film was shot in the surrounding areas of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Rajiv Menon’s restless camera with lot of impressive shots from different angles and A R Rahman’s rich musical production are expected to grab the audience’s attention. Maniratnam is producing and directing ‘Kadal’ on Madras Talkies banner. The film is expected to release in November.
After completing the shooting of ‘Kadal’, Lakshmi Manchu will join the sets of ‘Gundello Godari’. Incidentally both the films are on water backdrop.
