TFI to celebrate ANR’s acting career Platinum Jubilee on April 9th

On the eve of completion of 75 years of acting career of the recipient of Dada Saheb Phalke Award, Padma Vibhushan Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the Telugu Film Industry is planning to celebrate it as a Platinum Jubilee event. The Chairman of Parliament Standing Committee Dr T Subba Ramireddy is organizing this star studded event through his Lalitha Kala Parishad on April 9th in Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad. This grand event will be attended by the entire Telugu film fraternity.

Speaking at a press conference today in Hotel Grand Kakatiya, T Subbarami Reddy said, “On the eve of Akkineni garu completing 75 years as an actor, we formed a committee with the prominent people in the Telugu film industry, in order to organize this event grandly on 9th of April at Shilpa Kala Vedika. Chief Minister sri N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Central Forest Minister Smt Jayanti Natarajan, Padmasri Dr Mohan Babu, Gnanapeet Award winner Dr C Narayana Reddy, and Mr R V Ramana Murthy are the VIP guests. Apart from them, many film personalities from the older generation to the younger generation are going to attend this function. A dance skit titled ‘Mahanathudu Akkineni’ written by M K Ramu will be performed by the top dancers under Saluri Vasurao’s music composition.”

Senior actress Jamuna said, “NTR and ANR are considered as two eyes of the Telugu film industry. Both the legends worked very hard for the development of Telugu film industry. It’s a pride to our Telugu film industry to honor one of those legends through TSR Lalitha Kala Parishad. We all have retired from acting long ago but that great man is still acting with passion on films. I wish this ceremony a grand success and also wish that Kalabandu T Subbarami Reddy garu to organize many more such events.”

Dr D Ramanaidu said, “While we produced ‘Ramudu-Bheemudu’ like a seed on our banner, ‘Prem Nagar’ is like a tree because I became popular with that film only. I’m very happy to note that the entire Telugu film industry is going to honor the great actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.”

Senior actress Vanisri and Murali Mohan also spoke to the media and expressed their happiness.
