Rana Daggubati in central roles. While Amitabh will be seen as a don turned politician Sarjerao Gaikwad, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggunbati are essaying the roles of police officers. According to
Ram Gopal Varma, Sanjay Dutt became emotional and cried while shooting an emotional scene. The unit members couldn’t console him. RGV claimed that he saw a different Sanjay Dutt on that day. Manchu Lakshmi is playing
Sanjay Dutt’s wife in this film. ‘Department’ is set for release in early 2012.
