Rana stopped, Rajnikanth announces new film

Rajnikanth’s ‘Rana’ which was launched in mid of 2011 was halted due to his sudden ill health. Although the actor has recovered now, as per the sources it may take some more time for the film to go on the sets. However Rajni decided not to sit idle, instead keep him busy with another film till then. This new film titled ‘Kochadaiyan’ will be directed by none other than his younger daughter Soundarya Rajnikanth. The official announcement of this film was made on Thursday. The story, dialogues and screenplay will be written by K S Ravi Kumar who is the director of ‘Rana’ film. ‘Kochadiyan’ will be made in a 3D format and the film will hit theaters in August 2012. It was also announced that ‘Rana’ shooting will begin only after the completion of this film.
