Rumors of Rajnikanth’s death created considerable internet chatter. The rumors arose mainly because nobody had any idea why the actor was admitted to the hospital on Friday for the 3rd time in the last fortnight. Hence on Friday (May 13), a false rumor circulated about superstar’s death. “rajnikanth dead” and “rajnikanth died” were also the top two most searched keywords on Google India. However, the Superstar’s wife Latha Rajnikanth trashed the reports of his deteriorating health as rumors and said his health condition is absolutely fine and that he had to take some rest as per the doctors’ instructions.
On Friday, 13th May, Rajnikanth was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre hospital at Porur in Chennai. This is the 3rd time he was admitted to the hospital in the last fortnight. The first time was on April 29th when he complained of dehydration and exhaustion on the muhurat day of his latest film ‘Rana’, he was admitted to Isabel Hospital. He was discharged on the same day and advised for two weeks rest. But then he was re-admitted to the same hospital for breathlessness and viral fever, within in a week after he was discharged, i.e., on May 4th. But as per the sources of Ramachandra Medical Centre, the actor had been admitted only for tests and not for the treatment purpose.
