As part of the promotion for Lawrence’s latest film ‘Kanchana’ a press meet was held at Prasad Labs today in which Bellamkonda Suresh, Lawrence, senior journalist B A Raju, Saksi photo journalist Siva Mallala and Prajasakthi Muralikrishna (Sakthiman) participated.
Bellamkonda Suresh said, “We are releasing the film tomorrow in 250 theatres across Andhra Pradesh. The film obtained ‘UA’ certificate. In general any horror film will be certified with ‘A’. But the censor board members appreciated the film and certified it with ‘UA’ since they intend to make the family audience also watch this film. They also appreciated saying that there is a good message to the viewers. The film generated lot of craze. Hence we are releasing in 33 theaters in Nizam area. I feel lucky to do this film, so I thank Lawrence for giving me the opportunity.”
Lawrence said, “I appreciate Suresh garu for trusting me and promoting the film very well. The movie would definitely become a big hit as per our predictions.”
The journalists who watched the film also gave their opinions.
B A Raju said, “Lawrence performed in such a manner that no one can do it. In a way he has showed his Vishwaroopam. Everyone can watch the film with their families.”
Sakshi photo journalist said, “I did not expect this much when I came to watch this film. The first song is extraordinary. Lawrence master gave an amazing performance with the handicapped.”
Muralikrishna said, “When I saw the film the first half did not appeal that great to me. But the twist in the story is in the 2nd half. Lawrence acting as well as the direction is superb. There is a good message for the society. I wish many more films like this will come in the near future. Lawrence is not only serving the handicapped in real life but also showcased their talent in ‘Kanchana’.”
