Item numbers play vital role in Indian films because that gives a real kick for the mass audiences. Therefore some top heroines who do just an item number in a film demand the remuneration equal or sometimes even more than the remuneration paid to the respected film’s heroine. But here is one heroine who did an item song for free, i.e., she has not charged even a pie for the performance that she did despite being on top league. She is none other than Katrina Kaif. It is learnt that the actress performed an item number ‘Ayyare Ayya….Bodyguard’ in Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Bodyguard’ and has charged nothing for it. This has been revealed by the producer Atul Agnihotri himself saying that Katrina did an item song based on her friendship with Salman Khan. According to him the grand item number would be the opening credits of the film. This song has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
