Chetan Bhagat, a well known Indian English writer addressed FICCI

Ladies Organisation(FLO) members here in city on Friday night at Hotel Taj Krishna. He addressed them on Flourishing India-- A Proposal and interacted with them.

Two hundred members and their spouses attended the interactive session. He answered several questions of the audience. An inspiring speaker, Chetan Bhagat, encouraged his audience to participate in the open discussion and also gave his insights on the subject. The session was an eye- opener in many ways giving a fresh perspective on flourishing India. A country with maximum youth population in the world, India is a super power waiting to unleash its dominance. With a promising and bright future ahead, all our youngsters need is a little direction, a little inspiration, a fresh new perspective and a positive outlook. And who is better to inspire us than India's most widely read English writer, Chetan Bhagat said Monika Agarwal in her welcome address.

It has been our endeavour at FLO to expose our members to new or right ways of doing things, planning and thinking. For this we must be willing to confront old assumptions, embrace new thought processes, and open up for change. Today, we have Chetan Bhagat with us to talk about India, its youth, its society, culture and politics. Let's understand his ideas on what is needed to take the country forward. As Chetan says, we need to aim for a Progressive and value-based society that puts excellence and integrity over narrow goals and materialistic gains. We need to build on core values if we want to build our society. It is one thing to stumble upon a movement and another to be able to sustain it, Monika Agarwal added.

We need to set goals to give us a balanced, successful life. Balanced means ensuring our health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die...she said.

Sometimes in your life you just meet someone or hear something that nudges you on the right path. And that becomes the best advice. It could just be a bit of commonsense. It's nothing new, but because it connects with you it holds meaning for you. Let's hear this and more from Chetan today she informed FLO members.

The New York Times called Chetan Bhagat "the biggest selling English language novelist in India's histor/. Time magazine named him amongst the '100 most influential people in the world' and Fast Company, USA, listed him as one of the world's '100 most creative people in business'. I am sure interaction with him will have lot of impact on our FLO members she said.

Monika Agarwal and her team concludes their tenure and handover the responsibility to the new team. The installation ceremony of new office bearers for the coming year 2015-16 is scheduled for 24th April at Taj Krishna. Chief Guest and Keynote speaker for this event is Shazia llmi, a politician, TV Anchor and a Journalist. She is going to talk about Principle Politics.
