Artificial Intelligence (AI), a booming technology always been a term which intrigues people all over the world which is capable of altering every aspect of our life. In lay man words, AI is the ability of a machine or a computer program to think and learn and its evolution suggests that it has grown out of the knowledge derived from Science, Mathematics, Sociology, Computing and others. Hence, it is fair for any education system to recognize the importance of integrating AI Readiness to maximize learning across other disciplines along with IoT, Robotics and Game Development.
We in collaboration with Pallavi International school is leaping towards a bright future and we are proud to introduce first among in Hyderabad a full-fledged AI Lab with an aim and Vision to adapt to the needs of the rapidly transforming AI industry in alignment with Government of Telangana’s Vision 2020 “Year of AI”.
What is AI Lab? The lab is equipped with state-of-the art hardware and software, as well encompasses of more than 200 academics across several academic departments. We believe that vision, robotics, and language are the critical keys to understanding intelligence. The lab facilities serve as workspace for students. The lab uses processed data from collaborating partners, as well as data from public datasets.
With AI adoption growing rapidly, it's becoming more important than ever to know what options you have for AI tools, libraries and platforms. So, we are also planning to come up with Al Library and more initiatives for Robotics, IoT and Game development.
Why AI lab is important in schools? AI was part of the vision promising to transform education by creating tutor systems that could personalize learning. This promise is starting to unfold as present technology has begun experimenting with different models worldwide, bringing many questions to the field of education. AI can help create a better professional environment for teachers to work more on students with difficulties.
National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog came up with a National Strategy for AI in India focusing on economic growth and social inclusion. The Strategy is termed #AIForAll as it is focused on leveraging AI for inclusive growth in line with the Government policy of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. It provides over 30 policy recommendations to invest in scientific research, encourages reskilling and training, accelerates the adoption of AI and promotes ethics, privacy and security in AI.
I conclude by saying bringing AI to the classrooms in India might just be the solution that we have been looking for and with India’s Strategy #AIForAll and with Telangana’s Vision 2020 “Year of AI”, we are proudly introducing first among in Hyderabad a full-fledged AI Lab at Pallavi International School and setting up best example for other schools to follow us and to capture the global AI opportunity.
