Roots’s Collegium’s Freshers Day 2018 was a gala affair held at Hotel Daspalla.
The ten years old Root’s Collegium’s Freshers day marked by Welcome Dance, Theme introduction Cinema; Dances, Ramp Walk, Singing, Skit and ended with Flash Mob
Starting from their designer outfits to accessories, students made sure everything matched their personality.
Youngsters dressed in their best, looked attractive so they could grab the coveted titles organised.
Jitender and Deekshit walked away with Mr and Ms Fresher of Roots Degree College; Honolulu and Dipti of Roots Hotel Management College and Md Omer and Forzeh Roots Intermediate.
Mr & Ms Striking title was bagged by Gabbar and Basanthi; Mr & Ms Alluring by Jafar and Jasmine; Mr & Ms Fashionable by Shubham and Roopa; Mr & Ms Stunning by Kasula and Shivaram, Mr and Ms Magnificient Thora and Hella and Mr & Ms Phenominal Padmavathi and Khoikhoi.
Taran Khan, Artist and Author; Ruchika Sharma, Celebrity Chef and Sufithan, Model and Actress graced and decorated the winners with the coveted titles.
The Seniors Ramp Walk was based on Eccentric theme where In the outlandish characters from the famous featured films were manifested.
The participants presented the grace of Telugu Cinema through Tollywood dance
Bhangra swag was the another dance performed and it was based on the combination of Punjabi folk traditions with Western pop.
The Latin American dance Salsa incorporating elements of jazz and rock and proposing the spain tradition too performed
The contemporary dance theme exhibited the life of an accurate message hidden in the act of dance
Bahubhali act a dance drama presentation presented was the story line of the prominent movie bahubhali in the form of dance.
BELLY DANCE was performed by a woman and involving ripple movements of the belly and hips.
Nearly 1000 students and their parents, faculty participated in the Freshers day.
The day culminated with Flash Mob. Everybody including teaching and non teaching staff shook their bodies unmindfully and engrossed totally into the act
Prof Padala, Chairman of the Roots Collegium said the college which was started small with 19 students today has 1300 strength and is growing great guns. And now we have two campuses and going to the third one very soon.
